Area Command in AutoCAD


The "Area" command in AutoCAD is used to calculate the area of closed objects or regions in a drawing. This command is helpful for determining the surface area of shapes like polygons, circles, and other enclosed boundaries.

How to Use the Area Command

To use the Area command in AutoCAD:

  • Type AREA in the command line and press Enter.
  • Choose the option to either specify points or select an object to measure its area.
  • If specifying points, click around the boundary of the area to define the enclosed shape.
  • The area will be displayed in the command line once the shape is closed or selected.
