Break Command in AutoCAD
The break command in AutoCAD is used to divide an object into two parts by removing a portion of it. It is typically used to shorten or split a line, polyline, arc, or other objects by breaking them at a specific point.
To use the break command:
- Type BREAK or BR in the command line.
- Select the object you want to break.
- Specify the first break point on the object.
- Specify the second break point, or press Enter to break the object at the first point only.
