Trim Command in AutoCAD


The trim command in AutoCAD is used to remove or cut unwanted portions of objects by defining cutting edges. It helps in cleaning up and refining a drawing by trimming overlapping or extra parts of lines, arcs, circles, and other objects.

To use the trim command:

  1. Type TR or TRIM in the command line.
  2. Select the cutting edges that will be used to trim other objects.
  3. Press Enter to confirm the selection of cutting edges.
  4. Select the objects you want to trim.
  5. Press Enter again to complete the command.

This command simplifies editing by allowing precise adjustments to the geometry of objects.
