Trim Command in AutoCAD
The trim command in AutoCAD is used to remove or cut unwanted portions of objects by defining cutting edges. It helps in cleaning up and refining a drawing by trimming overlapping or extra parts of lines, arcs, circles, and other objects.
To use the trim command:
- Type TR or TRIM in the command line.
- Select the cutting edges that will be used to trim other objects.
- Press Enter to confirm the selection of cutting edges.
- Select the objects you want to trim.
- Press Enter again to complete the command.
This command simplifies editing by allowing precise adjustments to the geometry of objects.
