Quick Dimension Command in AutoCAD

The quick dimension command in AutoCAD is used to rapidly place dimensions on selected objects or geometry. It automatically adds dimensions to a set of objects with minimal input from the user, saving time when dimensioning multiple elements quickly in a drawing.

To use the quick dimension command:

  1. Type QD or select the "Quick Dimension" tool from the ribbon.
  2. Select the objects or points to which you want to add dimensions. You can select lines, arcs, circles, or other geometry.
  3. AutoCAD will automatically place the appropriate dimensions (linear, angular, radius, etc.) based on the geometry you select.
  4. Press Enter to finish the command and place the dimensions in the drawing.

The quick dimension command is ideal for quickly dimensioning multiple objects or elements without needing to manually set up each dimension individually, improving efficiency in the drawing process.
